-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Our studio was given the opportunity to work with the International Rescue Committee for our final project of the Fall 2020 semester. The brief tasked us with designing a platform or experience for the IRC to use in their digital inclusion program. Ultimately I landed on a physical platform to teach both digital and physical creative skills. This is a mobile classroom made from an up-cycled shipping container that can travel to multiple locations around Salt Lake City. The final message of the project is that by engaging in creativity refugees can find ways to reduce the stress of adapting to a new location, express their culture, and start to build friendships within the community.
